Our Project Delivery Model
Our preferred delivery model integrates the following essential elements:
Commitment to On-Time Delivery: Rapid approval of process flowsheets, plant layouts, and design criteria by all stakeholders is critical to the on-time delivery of a project.
Pre-Engineered Designs: We leverage pre-engineered designs for all our plants. Our approach significantly reduces delivery and construction timelines without sacrificing process performance or customer requirements.
In-House Engineering & Procurement: Our Johannesburg hub completes all our detailed engineering and procurement activities, ensuring all aspects of the project are closely monitored and managed.
3D Modeling: All plant components undergo detailed 3D modelling before fabrication to minimise clashes and reduce installation times.
In-House Shop Detailing: Our dedicated in-house team completes all shop detailing, eliminating the potential for delays often encountered when outsourcing this critical-path task.
In-House Fabrication: Our purpose-built facility in Klerksdorp, South Africa, fabricates all steelwork, piping, and platework to agreed specifications.
Pre-Shipment Testing: Before shipping to the project site, all our modules and plants undergo trial erection and testing at our facility, ensuring they are installation-ready. All electrical equipment is Factory Acceptance Tested (FAT) prior to shipment.
Construction Supervision: The same supervisors involved in the trial erection will accompany the plant to the project site, providing expert supervision during reassembly.
Commissioning: Our process engineers, responsible for the original process design, carry out the commissioning, ensuring a seamless transition from design to operation.
Post-Commissioning Support: After commissioning and project handover, we offer the option of a full plant operations team to transition the project smoothly into production, ensuring optimal performance from the outset.
Our Project Delivery Principles
Unified Project Ownership: We believe in having a single point of contact responsible for every aspect of a project, ensuring proper coordination and communication with all stakeholders.
Accelerated Project Delivery: Our primary objective is to expedite our customer's journey to initial production and revenue.
Optimised Design Philosophy: We avoid over-engineering and excessive designing, often resulting in project delays. Instead, we focus on fit-for-purpose designs that cater directly to our customer's requirements.
Reliable Technologies & Equipment: We are committed to deploying proven commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) technologies and equipment, ensuring our solutions are reliable and cost-effective.
Coordinated Supplier Management: Our management of subcontractors, vendors, and project interfaces is streamlined and efficient. We only work with trusted partners who fully align with our customer's objectives.
Trial Erection: We trial erect all our plants before they are disassembled for painting and packing for shipment. This rigorous process minimises the duration of on-site construction and eliminates the high costs traditionally associated with reworking components on-site that do not fit.
Maximised Off-Site Construction & Modularity: We excel in rapidly deploying pre-engineered, modular structural systems to reduce on-site construction times and potential complications.
Streamlined Logistics & Construction Strategies: In light of the inherent challenges in logistics, further exacerbated by recent global events such as COVID-19, we invest significant effort in planning and optimising our project logistics chains.
Data-Driven Reporting & Metrics: Real-time project reporting and metrics form the backbone of our decision-making process.
Proactive Intervention & Correction: In line with our fast-track project delivery focus, we prioritise effective and timely decision-making, implementing early intervention and correction strategies to keep our projects on track.
