Overview
Design and construction of a complete 1.2 Mtpa mine and kimberlite process plant in remote east Sierre Leone. The process plant included:
a three-stage crushing circuit;
a 150 tph gravity-fed lump (50 mm topszie) and two 130 tph fines DMS modules;
X-ray recovery units; and
eighteen conventional and pipe conveyors.
Consulmet also designed and built all of the mine infrastructure, including the tailings storage facility, water and 10 MW power plant, mine workshops, explosive magazine, and the 800-person construction and permanent accommodation camps.
The complete project was constructed and commissioned in less than 12 months.
